The City of Selkirk is served by a fixed-route public transit system. Selkirk’s transit system is operated by the Selkirk Transit Authority, a non-profit community organization created to deliver transit services to our community.

Founded in May 2011, Selkirk Transit acts as the city’s primary source of public transportation, running from 6:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am – 6:00 pm on Saturdays. Half of Selkirk Transit’s funding is provided through a partnership with the Province of Manitoba, and with the other half coming from generated revenue and sponsorships. In 2015 Selkirk Transit served over 30,000 passengers, and it is expected that number will continue to increase in the forthcoming years.
