There are many circumstances where a demolition permit is required for interior renovations as well as demolishing structures. If a structure is larger than 107 square feet, a demolition permit is required. For interior demolition and exterior demolition, it is best to contact the Planning Division to get clarification as to whether or not a permit is required as it sometimes depends on the scope of work.
If a permit is not required for your project, you must ensure that you contact all applicable agencies to have services disconnected.
