Vendor Feature for Week 6 (the final week) of the Selkirk Port D.O.G Days market:
Fierce Cups and More was born about a year ago, and proprietor Tracey Fierce is well aware her last name gifted her with a memorable and fitting business moniker.
“I have to thank my husband for the name,” laughs Fierce, who’s at the Selkirk Port D.O.G Days Market every Wednesday selling her wares.
“I’d had a Cricut for three years and I so desperately wanted to do something with it and I never seemed to get around to it, I was too busy with work and extra curricular stuff. I finally got it out with COVID and my sister helped me get started.”
A Cricut allows you to cut paper, vinyl, leather, and all types of materials, to do countless types of crafts.
For Fierce, it was putting creative sayings on cups and can coolers much to the delight of her customers.
“I wanted to create something that I thought would be fun and meaningful, that people would use and I fell in love with making the tumblers,” she says.
“I just love the looks on people’s faces when they find something really funny. They come by my booth…and they’ll laugh and they’ll want the cup for themselves or their friends. I love seeing people getting so excited over something….that gives me so much joy.”
The cups are perfect for special events like wedding party gifts, Christmas, anniversary or birthday gifts or special orders that are personalized for groups of friends.
The tumblers and can coolers come in a variety of colours, are double-wall insulated and good for keeping your favourite beverage hot or cold and the sayings and designs are permanent vinyl.
On her Facebook page she has dozens and dozens of sayings – they run the gamut from cute and cuddly to more adult content – and you can custom order to suit your own tastes.
“If you know someone has a favourite saying or something that’s funny you can put that on. If it’s a gift for a friend, depending on their personality, you can put something sweet on, you can put something saucy or sassy on it,” she says.
“For wedding parties, they’re amazing, because you know it’s something they will use.”
For now, Fierce Cups and More is a side gig, but it’s been going well and Fierce would love to make it her full-time occupation.
Wednesday, August 25th is the last of the Selkirk Port D.O.G Days markets for the 2021 season so come check out her tumblers and coolers then!
