Explore Selkirk’s Parks with Our Outdoor Recreation Exploration Bins!

We’re excited to introduce our Outdoor Recreation Exploration Bins! A new take on traditional recreation equipment lending programs, these bins give the public access to a variety of recreational equipment and supplies designed to help you explore and enjoy the great outdoors. Whether you want to try snowshoeing in the winter or toss a volleyball on a sunny summer day, these bins make it simple and fun for everyone to connect with nature. In other words, they’re your ticket to making the most of Selkirk’s beautiful parks.

Program Guidelines

The success of this program relies on our community’s shared commitment to the honor system:

  • Return Supplies Daily: Please return all items to the bins at the end of the day to ensure they are available for the next user.
  • Keep It Local: Equipment and supplies should remain within the park boundaries.
  • Keep us in the know: While our staff will provide weekly checks on the bins, if equipment becomes damaged or missing, or you have suggestions to improve the bins, please let us know. Reach out to CitizenSupport.
  • We appreciate your cooperation in helping us make this program free and enjoyable for everyone!
