
Waterfront Wednesdays, proudly sponsored by Access Credit Union and the Selkirk Record, brings the community together on Selkirk’s waterfront with local vendors, food trucks, live music, and weekly features.
Join us the last two Wednesdays in July and every Wednesday in August from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to shop local, enjoy great food, discover local talent, and experience everything the waterfront has to offer.

United for Literacy Reading Tent

The United for Literacy Reading Tent is returning this summer with two tents. The Reading Tent program helps reduce learning loss between the end of one school year and the start of the next by giving children multiple opportunities to access literacy support throughout the summer. With a focus on high-impact literacy, staff engage children in fun, inclusive activities tailored to diverse learning styles and reading levels. Each session includes reading circles and literacy and movement-based activities, and wraps up with participants choosing a free book to take home.

Are you a busker looking to perform at the market? Buskers are coordinated by the City of Selkirk and help bring music, energy, and a great atmosphere to market days. If you’re interested in joining the lineup, you can apply through the busker application form.

The market runs rain or shine, with the exception of extreme weather.

Yes. Photos and video may be taken during this event and used by the City of Selkirk for promotional, marketing, and communications purposes.
