The Selkirk Concert Series proudly sponsored by South Beach Casino and Resort is a popular draw for residents and visitors throughout the summer.

Enjoy music with the gorgeous view of the Red River as the backdrop or visit one of the many food vendors to grab a bite to eat. These family friendly, free concerts are located at the Selkirk Waterfront while ‘Music on Manitoba’ is located on Manitoba Ave East.

The series gets underway with the ‘Season Opener’ June 7, the highly anticipated ‘Rock the Waterfront’ July 19 and the annual ‘Music on Manitoba’ August 9. Come on down and bring a lawn chair, you won’t want to miss these family friendly, free concerts!

Just a reminder: Concerts never cancel due to rain; they relocate instead. Announcements for relocation will be made here and on social media.

June 7 – Season Opener

7:00 pm – Bluestem

Bluestem is one of Winnipeg’s premier country cover bands, known for delivering high-energy performances that keep dance floors packed from the first note to the last. With a dynamic set list featuring everything from timeless country classics to today’s chart-topping hits, Bluestem brings something for every generation of country music fan.

8:30 pm – Kates Outlaw

Kates Outlaw is a high-energy country rock band out of Dauphin, Manitoba, built on a shared love of music, motorcycles, and the simple life. Since forming in 2015, this talented group of musicians has blended a wide range of musical influences into a unique sound that’s as gritty and heartfelt as the stories they tell.
What started as casual jam sessions quickly turned into crowd-pleasing performances across local communities. Fueled by strong support and demand from fans, Kates Outlaw evolved from a garage-style cover band into a powerhouse act writing and performing original music. Whether they’re rocking a small-town stage or playing a bigger event, Kates Outlaw brings raw energy, authenticity, and a good time every time they plug in.

July 19 – Rock the Waterfront

Recreating hit songs like ‘I Want to Know What Love Is,’ ‘Juke Box Hero,’ ‘Cold as Ice,’ and ‘Feels Like the First Time,’ they provide energetic and captivating performances that pay homage to the band’s enduring legacy. With talented musicians, powerful vocals, and a passion for the music, Hot Blooded brings the classic hits to life, offering fans a nostalgic and exhilarating experience that captures the essence of Foreigner’s timeless appeal.

Witness this exciting tribute to one of the biggest and explosive bands in rock’n roll.. Van Halen! With over the top vocals and stage antics, and mesmerizing screaming lead guitar stylings, UNCHAINED delivers the ultimate Van Halen experience!

Winnipeg’s hottest party band, Dr. Rocktopus has been burning up dance floors for over half a decade with their high energy covers & electrifying mashups that add a hard rock edge to irresistibly fun, dance beats, laced with a ton of nostalgia & surprises.

Can I perform in the concert series?

Is the event outside or inside?

The Season Opener and Rock the Waterfront are outside at the Selkirk Waterfront.  Music on Manitoba is outside on Manitoba Ave East between Main St and Eveline Ave. 

What happens if it rains?

The City would like to remind everyone that events are never cancelled if it rains. If weather conditions are not suitable, an announcement will be posted on the City website and on social media relocating the events.

Are there washrooms on site?

Yes, porta potties are on site and available to use.

Do I need a ticket to attend?

No ticket is needed to attend the concert series. 

Do you serve liquor/is the area licensed?

The Selkirk Concert series does not serve liquor. The area is not licensed for alcohol.
