This course offers basic first aid and caregiving skills for youth 11-15 years old. Participants learn how to provide care to children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. The course also offers youth the skills to promote themselves as babysitters to prospective families.

Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026

Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Location: Selkirk Memorial Hall – 368 Jemima Street, Selkirk

Age Range: 11 years – 16 years of age. Must be 11 years old or have completed grade 5 by the date of the course.

Cost: Rates below include any applicable taxes. Residents of the City of Selkirk receive a discounted rate, which is applied automatically at checkout.

  • Non-Resident: $88.00

Equipment/Supplies: There will be a 30 minute lunch break. A manual will be provided at the course.

Testing Information: Upon successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a Babysitter Completion Certificate.
