Please be advised that another bear may have been spotted in Selkirk Park. Manitoba Conservation officers have been alerted.
As a precautionary measure, all trails in Selkirk Park are temporarily closed. The park itself remains open, but visitors are asked to use extra caution and practice bear-smart habits, including:
- Stay alert and be aware of your surroundings.
- Do not approach or feed wildlife.
- If you are bringing food, keep it locked away and never leave it unattended.
- Properly dispose of garbage.
- Keep pets on a leash at all times except at the Selkirk Off-Leash Dog Park.
