Looking to have a birthday party or group gathering at our pool & splash pad? Group bookings are a great way to reserve and guarantee your entry into the facility! Taking place during regular operating hours or outside of public hours (additional fees apply when outside public hours).

Group Booking Rules & Details

  1. Group bookings require 10 or more swimmers.
  2. Group bookings get guaranteed access to our facility – skip the line!
  3. Additional Add-On: Group bookings may reserve a shaded cabana area for their group, which includes a 10×12 foot pergola with a hardtop shaded roof. Includes a picnic table, reserved beach area and 4 chairs. This service is an additional fee (see rates below).
  4. Safety is our primary concern. The lifeguard’s decision is final. During public swim and booking times, lifeguards guard the pool and must be able to react to emergencies. Parents and caregivers must supervise and monitor the behavior of children and youth while at the facility. (see supervision requirements below).
  5. The group must enter as a whole at the start time of the booking.
  6. The group contact must check in with the Pool Supervisor before entering the pool.
  7. If groups arrive more than 30 minutes late, we may not admit them.
  8. This facility is glass-free. Leave glass containers in your vehicle.
  9. Also, we do not permit BBQs and electric appliances.
  10. We permit PFDs and lifejackets during public swim and rental times. You can borrow PFDs, but we encourage bringing your own due to limited supply.
  11. You must book all group requests in advance. We do not guarantee entry without a prior booking.
  12. During bookings, non-resident parents and caregivers must pay for entry, whether in the water or supervising on deck. However, City of Selkirk residents receive free admission with proof of residency.
  13. Pool staff may permit pool toys in the water. Ask permission if you plan to bring toys. We do not allow large floaties
  14. We will suspend pool activities for 30 minutes after the last sighting of lightning or thunder. There are no refunds in the event of poor weather.
  15. We do not permit pets in the facility or fenced area, except service animals.
  16. We do not allow you to smoke, vape, or drink alcohol inside the fenced area.
  17. Non-residents must pay to enter the facility. City of Selkirk residents have free access with proof of residency.
  18. We charge an additional $40 to groups of 30 or more for extra lifeguard coverage during your booking.

Group Booking Supervision Requirements

  • Safety is our primary concern. The Lifeguard’s decision is final. During public swim and group booking times the lifeguards’ job is to guard the pool and react to any emergency that might arise. Parents and caregivers/supervisors are responsible for supervising and monitoring behavior of children and youth.
  • Children ages 7 and under and those requiring assistance must be within arm’s reach of a parent or caregiver/supervisor at all times while in the water.
  • For all children ages 8-11 we require an adult (age 14 & up) to be in the facility at all times.
  • Supervision requirements and ratios are in place for group bookings. See chart below.
  • Supervising individuals must be 14 years of age or older.
  • Children 7 years old or younger must be within arms reach of a caregiver regardless of grade.
  • Children 8 to 11 years old require an adult within the fence at all times.

Group Booking Rates

  • Note these group booking rates are in addition to non-resident admission rates during operating hours.
  • Private rentals (outside regular operating hours) are not required to pay a resident vs. non-resident rate in addition to the rental rate.
  • Resident admission is free with proof of residency to the City of Selkirk.
  • There are no refunds for group bookings/public swim additions.
  • Note: In the event of high winds or severe weather, cabana structures may be temporarily closed down for safety. No refunds or time extensions will be provided in such cases, and staff will do their best to relocate groups to alternative shaded spaces if available.
