Prospective municipal election candidates must register with the Senior Election Official (SEO) during the registration period before they may begin to accept contributions, incur expenses, fundraise or borrow money for their campaign. The municipal election will be held on October 26, 2022.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that candidate registrations can be received:
For the office of Mayor:
Between May 1, 2022 and September 20, 2022
For the office of Councillor:
Between June 30, 2022 and September 20, 2022
at the City of Selkirk Civic Office, 200 Eaton Ave.
Monday-Friday 10:00am – 4:00pm

Senior Election Official, City of Selkirk The Municipal Councils and School Boards Election Act now requires all prospective candidates to register before accepting campaign contributions or incurring campaign expenses. Registration is in addition to filing nomination papers between September 14 – September 20, 2022.
