DESCRIPTION:The 18th annual Santa Parade of Lights is back to brighten Selkirk on Saturday\, November 29 at 7pm! \nFestive floats with dazzling decorations and lights head north down Eveline starting at Berrisford and ending at Superior\, spreading cheer and holiday spirit all along the route. Kids are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa Claus! \n\nNote: The Selkirk Lift Bridge at Eaton and Eveline will be closed from 6:30pm until the parade ends at around 8:30pm. A parking ban will also be in effect on Eveline during this time. \n— \n**Please note this event is not hosted by the City of Selkirk. Any questions should be directed to the event organizers.

DESCRIPTION:Santa is getting the reindeer and sleigh ready for a return to Selkirk this year! The 15th annual Santa Parade of Lights will take place the first weekend in December\, just after Holiday Alley. The downtown area will be lit up with more than 130\,000 installed LED light bulbs on 40 buildings. It will be keeping the same route and format as it has in the past\, with the only change of starting at Manchester and Eveline. The route continues north on Eveline Street and ends at Superior Avenue. Kids are reminded to bring their letters to Santa as Canada Post will be collecting them along the route. The bridge at Eaton and Eveline will be closed from 6:30 pm until the parade ends at approximately 8:30 pm. \nLocal businesses and community groups wishing to enter a float can find all the details on the Santa Parade of Lights Facebook page or pick up a registration form at the Selkirk Record office at 219 Clandeboye Avenue during business hours. The deadline to enter is Wednesday\, November 30th at 5:00 pm. \nIndividuals wishing to volunteer can also visit the Santa Parade of Lights Facebook for more information.
