Selkirk Park is located next to the Marine Museum on 490 Eveline Street (corner of Queen Ave/Eveline St) at the north end of Selkirk on the banks of the Red River.

Originally known as “River Park” in the late 1800’s, this area hosted many events. These included boat excursions along the Red River and into Lake Winnipeg, as well as a dance pavilion and a boardwalk with games and concession stands – added in the 1900’s. Also in the 1900’s, the ‘Winnipeg, Selkirk and Lake Winnipeg Electric Railway’ ran a streetcar service from Winnipeg to Selkirk Park. In present day, it hosts a number of summer attractions including Indigenous People Day, held in June, and the Triple “S” Fair & Rodeo -featuring a street parade, midway, livestock events, crafts, and a first class rodeo in July.
