People have been travelling for years to test their nerves at the Manitoba Marine Museum’s Halloween Haunt, and they keep coming back for more. In its 16th year, this annual event attracts hundreds to brave souls from all over Manitoba. Organizers boast the Halloween Haunt is so scary you’ll “Ship your pants”.
“Lots of people are coming out to the event, holding their hearts and then running out screaming, it is scarier than Six Pines” says Shaylene Nordal, Manager of the Marine Museum. “We are scaring people of all age groups!”
“This is The Marine Museum’s biggest fundraiser of the year, all of the money raised goes right back into the operational costs and restoration of the ships” Shaylene stated proudly. Employees and volunteers prepare for over five weeks in order to ensure you are scared to the max. The Museum receives community support from the City of Selkirk, Selkirk Record, Half Moon, Subway, Franks Pizza, McDonald’s, Upper Crust Bakery and Selkirk Butcher Shop.
